MEET THE TEAM

PATRICIA WADE, LMT
OWNER, TRANSFORMATIONAL MASSAGE THERAPIES & PRACTITIONER
Tricia’s career in the natural healthcare field began 25 years ago as a Neuromuscular Therapist. Since then, she has helped many clients using gentle touch and an intuitive, caring spirit to foster deep healing. Tricia seeks to empower and energize her clients, offering more comfort and increased flexibility. This is achieved through locating imbalance and supporting the body to find physical and energetic harmony in its own way and time. Increased vitality, freedom, and joy are wonderful outcomes that can occur from such shifts.
Individual transformations can be realized utilizing several therapies, including Craniosacral, FLOW, Trager, and Access Bars. Each of these approaches to healing use light touch and are suitable for people of all ages, including babies, children, and the elderly. These specialized therapies can be effective for addressing acute or chronic imbalances, often clearing stress patterns in the body created from past or current injuries, illness, and/or emotional events. Outside the treatment room, Tricia loves spending time with horses - the more the better. She and her canine friend, Jethro, often work horses and goats in their free time. She also loves to brainstorm with other practitioners to create more ease for her clients.
Therapies:
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system. This system is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams (about the weight of a nickel) practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.
The Flowtrition practitioner is not attempting to fix or change the client, but sees the perfection of the person and their body, without judgment. Flowtrition uses a gentle touch that allows for the integration of life experiences that have been stored in the body as tension. As this occurs, the body decides what it wants to do next. This gentle touch encourages the body to look in on itself and to make shifts, assisting clients in being better able to handle life’s stresses. Flowtrition has led people to realizations and understandings that have brought greater meaning to their lives on multiple levels.
The Trager approach is innovative, enjoyable, and cumulative. It consists of a unique combination of relaxing, hands-on, oil-free body movements. While relaxing, the client feels her body moving freely and comfortably. The mind lets go, leaving stress and tightness behind. Each session brings more freedom and lightness in everyday activity. As Minton Trager stated, “[T]here is a way of being which is lighter, which is freer. A way in which work as well as play becomes a dance and a living song. We can learn this way.”
Tricia’s qualifications include:
Licensed Massage Therapist, State of Texas
Licensed CE Massage Instructor, State of Texas
Certified Trager Approach Practitioner
Certified FLOW Practitioner
Neuromuscular Therapy, St. John Institute of Neuromuscular Pain Relief
Equine Shiatsu, Gary Whiting School of Equine Massage
Certified Bars Facilitator and Instructor, Access Consciousness
