Food Sensitivity Testing
What is Food Sensitivity Testing?
Gut Health
70% of the immune system is located in the gut. The foods we eat affect the diversity and composition of bacteria in the gut, which in turn affect immune cells. Those gut bugs are healthiest and support strong immunity when their hosts (that’s us) consume plant foods that are high in fiber. The health of your gut affects your skin, mood, happiness, digestion, weight and oral health. Food is medicine that can heal & seal the gut. Prevention is the answer to minimize the risk of chronic disease by taking care of your gut.

Testing food reactions can be useful for individuals that suspect food is responsible for causing unpleasant symptoms in the body. If “leaky gut” is suspected or you are experiencing decreased immune function, a test to identify the triggers can be beneficial. Increased intestinal permeability (leaky gut) can be reversed through food, supplements and lifestyle changes.

Other types of adverse food reactions that are causing digestive challenges can be referred to as food intolerances. For example, MSG, gluten, Splenda, dairy, nightshades and lectins can be reactive foods and cause immune system deficiencies. Adverse food reactions can lead to distressing symptoms and chronic health conditions.
The timeline for healing food intolerances varies due to the individual and health considerations. With food changes, hydration, supplements, lifestyle, sleep and basic support your gut will heal.
