Secrets Create Stress

It takes a lot of energy to hold onto secrets. So get a journal and start confessing. Write down everything. Your fears, that crazy thing you did in high school, those thoughts you would never tell a soul, your best friends sister's secret, and the thing your family refuses to talk about. Let it all out once and for all. It's on paper so it's no longer a secret. Your next step is to burn the pages in the BBQ, shred them, or tear them into pieces and trash the list.

Now, focus on the things that work in your life. Because when you focus on the good things, more of those things show up. Today we will be focusing on health.

A great way to be more aware of all of the amazing gifts in your life is to write them down.

What five (5) things can you acknowledge or focus on today, about you and your health? What works for you and your body? A massage, eating right, a detoxifying foot bath, supplementation, what? What habits and behaviors make a difference in the way you feel?

Listing and acknowledging what works allows you to experience a sense of satisfaction. List your healthy habits in a way that makes sense.

And, you could make different lists every day. Here are some examples.

How about a list of healthy habits?

  • I drink 8 glasses of water or more for hydration each day.

  • I go to bed on time and get required sleep.

  • I exercise at least three times a week.

  • I do one fun activity each day.

  • I faithfully take my morning supplements.

What would you put on your list?

How about listing what you did for your health right before bed. It could look like this:

  • My body loves to be hydrated. I started this morning with two bottles of water. I drank enough today so that I did not feel thirsty and added my NADH. Because of that, I am going to drink another bottle right before I go to sleep.

  • My body loves to move. I scheduled time on my calendar for yoga.

  • Lunch didn’t make me sleepy because I ate a nutritious salad and had fruit for dessert.

  • I took ten minutes and listened to a mediation. The rest of the day seemed to flow.

  • I listened to a book on tape on my way into work and had a client who asked me a question right out of the book.

List what doesn't work so you can tweak those things so that you are headed in a positive direction. It might look something like this:

  • I get sleepy during the day after a large carbohydrate filled lunch.

  • My mind becomes foggy when I have more than one glass of wine.

  • My spouse gets cranky when he doesn’t eat by 6 p.m.

  • Every time I have sweetened cereal for breakfast, I crave more sugar and then find myself eating it all day long.

  • When I go three days without exercise my mood turns and I don't even want to be around me.

  • I ran out of Pro-Metabolic supplement which helps my thyroid and I feel tired.

You can do something different when you notice what doesn't work.

Notice what you are doing for your health that creates a better life for you.

  • I notice my stomach doesn’t hurt after I eat when I take my digestive enzymes.

  • I added a new supplement this week and I feel more energized, or able to concentrate, or less stressed, less pain, what? Write it down because noticing makes you feel empowered.

  • I realize on the days I exercise I have more energy at the end of the day.

  • Learning difficult material helps me master subjects and keeps my Brain from atrophying. I take my ele-max to help me with that Brain stimulation process.

  • When I diffuse orange essential oil, I seem to be happier.

Do more of those things you love. Acknowledge that you are doing the best you can in these troubled times. Pat yourself on the back because if you are reading this, you plan to create a healthy change that will work for you.

MORE STRAINS Dr Ohhiras has 12 strains that are potent and last longer in your gut, giving you the best probiotics for gut health.

Why take probotics? The good bacteria helps maintain digestive health and boosts the immune system. Chlorine in our water, artificial sweeteners not listed on the labels of our food and chlorine in pools (even salt water) depletes our body of the necessary probiotics for health and wellness. Sugar feeds the viruses, fungus, candida and yeast in our digestive system and promotes more sugar cravings.

Probiotics can assist with loose bowels and with constipation. We are balancing the bowels and increasing the good gut flora to assist with health and wellness. Our brains need the probiotics as well as our immune system.

Probiotics need food (Prebiotics) and Postbiotics bind to toxins and help us move toxins out the bowels.

Oprah recommends these Comedy Podcasts.

When physical contact becomes limited—or, in some cases, eliminated—people can develop a condition called touch starvation or touch deprivation. What if you gently touch your face, your hair, your arms? You can nurture yourself with touch while saying I love you, you'll be okay, and lovely skin. Say good morning and goodnight to yourself. Self love creates a mindset of acceptance. More on Social Distancing Coping here.

Here's a secret: Physical touch is known to improve the function of your immune system as well as reduce diseases such as those associated with the heart and blood. One study on women found that receiving more hugs from their partners led to lower heart rates and blood pressure. Hug yourself, your family members, your pets, a tree. Here is the hands on research, the science of touch.
